PSYCHIC Derek Acorah has outraged Kate and Gerry McCann by insisting daughter Madeleine is dead.

The TV medium, who claims a messenger from the spirit world gave him the information, said: “She’s not on this earth any more.”

A source close to the McCanns said: “They are sickened by this.”

Acorah, 62, has added to Kate and Gerry’s anguish by claiming Madeleine died years ago — and will soon be reincarnated.

He said: “I know her parents are convinced Maddie is alive and I’m really sorry – but the little one has been over in the spirit world for some time.

“I don’t think she’ll be there long before she reincarnates.

“When children pass over who haven’t had full lives I believe they choose the time to come back in the same form again — as another little girl.”

The McCanns are said to be disgusted by Acorah’s claims. A source said: “Kate and Gerry are sickened. This character Derek Acorah is nothing but a self-publicist. It’s incredibly distasteful and insensitive.”

Madeleine McCann

Missing … Madeleine McCann

Millionaire medium Acorah, ex-host of TV’s Most Haunted, claimed a messenger from the spirit world named Sam told him Madeleine was dead — shortly after she vanished in Praia da Luz, Portugal, five years ago.

He said: “I got asked to go over there at the very beginning and I said to my wife that I was going to go. But then she showed me some emails from a number of psychics who were already there.

“There were four of them and they were coming to a blank.”

Acorah claimed he sought guidance by contacting Sam — his spirit “guide”. He said: “I sat in my meditation room and I asked the spirit world and Sam confirmed she was dead. It is horrible but he said there was no purpose for me to go there.

“He said the reason the others cannot get a link is because the little one had already come over. She’s not on this earth any more.”

Acorah said he decided not to go to Portugal to spare the McCanns unnecessary suffering.

He added: “I wasn’t going to bring extra misery to them. I do know that they will find out what happened to Maddie one day.” Acorah made his claims days after the McCanns marked the fifth anniversary of three-year-old Madeleine’s disappearance from the holiday resort. He was speaking while promoting his latest tour.

Detectives are following more than 100 leads — many of which suggest Madeleine is still alive.

A spokesman for the McCanns said: “Kate and Gerry believe their daughter is alive and the Metropolitan Police are currently pursuing an investigation to that effect.

“If anyone credible has any credible evidence that she is alive they should come forward.”

Derek Acorah

Maddie claim … Derek Acorah

Acorah last night said he was surprised that his comments had upset the McCanns.

He added: “I was only making those statements to explain why I didn’t go to Portugal.

“I would hate to offend or upset the McCanns as a parent myself.”

Acorah caused offence in 2009 by claiming Michael Jackson’s ghost contacted him at a seance.

And in 2005 George Best’s friends accused him of cashing in after he claimed he would speak with the dead football legend.

Kate, 44, and Gerry, 43, are still raising cash to support their continuing hunt for Madeleine.

Scotland Yard are analysing 40,000 pieces of information.

They believe Madeleine may still be alive — but have been unable to get Portuguese police to reopen their failed investigation.

‘ TV’s ‘Derek the faker’

DEREK Acorah claims he had his first supernatural experience as a child when he was visited by his dead grandad.

Acorah set himself up as a medium after failing to make the grade as a Liverpool footballer.

He got his break in 2001 on TV’s Most Haunted and became one of the UK’s best known psychics.

But in 2005 he was allegedly outed as a fraud by Most Haunted’s psychologist Dr Ciaran O’Keeffe.

While shooting at a haunted prison in Cornwall, O’Keeffe secretly invented a long-dead jailer called Kreed Kafer — and talked about him while Acorah was in earshot.

Acorah was later filmed becoming “possessed” by the fictional character.

O’Keeffe then revealed the name Kreed Kafer was an anagram of “Derek Faker.” Acorah was later sacked from the show.

The Fox Sisters

Published on May 15, 2012 by in Fake, Medium, Psychic

In 1848, sisters Kate, Leah, and Margaret Fox became instant celebrities when they began communicating with the dead. Living in a house supposedly serving as the burial site of a murder victim substantiated these claims of spiritual communication, and the series of raps and knockings that could be heard in response to the girls’ questions were assumed to be coming from beyond the grave.

People from all over the girls’ hometown of Hydesville, New York came to witness the phenomenon, and soon people from all over the state and country arrived to see for themselves. The sisters became famous, holding public séances, serving as mediums between the living and dead, and playing key roles in the growing Spiritual movement. From the beginning, however, there were doubters who believed that the communication was nothing more than a hoax, and that the rappings and knockings were somehow created by the girls themselves.

Years later, Margaret made a startling confession; she claimed that the spiritual communication had been part of a scheme, and that she was responsible for the noises. Skeptics reacted knowingly, but others didn’t buy it. Believers had faith in the possibility of mediums at work and were convinced that communication between this world and the next was possible. Unfortunately for the sisters, their lives ended tragically, marred by alcohol, poverty, and depression. But their legacy lives on in the resulting Spiritual movement that they played an integral role in.

The Kreed Kafer Story

Published on May 15, 2012 by in Fake, Medium, Psychic

Could it be true??? One of Britain’s “most accurate” mediums, Derek Acorah is a fraud!!!

Well I’m afraid that there may be some truth behind this statement. Mr Acorah came bursting onto our screens in the now infamous paranormal show Most Haunted, We all loved his way with words and his insanely funny “possessions” however at the start of series 6 it all began to unfold for Derek.

Let me start at the beginning (Yes I know that’s the best place to start) during filming at Castle Leslie, Ireland, Dr Ciaran O’Keeffe began to smell a rat. Derek claimed to have got specific information from a four-poster bed; He insisted that this exact bed was where he gained his information from. However the bed was NOT the original bed, right room wrong bed.

After this incident Ciaran set out to confirm or deny his suspicions.

Series 6, Bodmin gaol, was the setting for Ciaran’s “test”. Before filming began, making sure Derek was in ear shot, Ciaran mentioned to one of the crew members, that a spirit reported to haunt the gaol went by the name of Kreed Kafer, which is actually an anagram of Derek Faker.

Well you can imagine his surprise when Acorah was suddenly possessed by……You guessed it Kreed Kafer. He stated that this fictional Character was a South African Jailor, even going as far as adopting a Johannesburg accent.

In the next episode of Most Haunted filmed at Prideaux place in Cornwall, Derek claimed to have contacted another of Ciarans fictional characters Rik Eeadles, another clever anagram this time of Derek lies.

The spirited Mr Acorah was subsequently possessed by this fictional highwayman.

The final straw was the whole lion, witch and the wardrobe tripe that Derek slopped out of his mouth at Craigievar castle, Aberdeen.

Again Ciaran had set Derek up with stories of Richard the lion heart, a witch and the apparition of Richard disappearing into a wardrobe, Come on Derek are you really that stupid…..Oh seems you are J

Derek repeated these stories, practically word for word, had he have done his research properly (Get it research…Oh never mind!!) He would have known that Richard the 1st reigned 500 years BEFORE Craigievar castle was even built.

Armed with all this evidence Ciaran gave an interview to the Mirror newspaper (28th September 2005). Ciaran said that Derek was duping the public with showmanship and dramatics, gathering information on locations before filming and pretending to communicate with spirits.

Shortly after these revelations Mr Acorah left Most Haunted and disappeared from our screens for a while. Is he a fraudster??? I’ll let you be the judge of that but I will ask you to bear in mind all the other instances that Derek Acorah has reportedly faked evidence, possessions and phenomena….Maybe there is some truth in all the rumours.

Sally Morgan – Real or Fake

Published on May 11, 2012 by in Fake, Medium, Psychic

Sally Morgan (born 20 September 1951 and also known by her stage name Psychic Sally) is a British television and stage artist and author who claims to have psychic abilities.

Before Morgan did a reading for BIG BROTHER winner Brian Dowling on ITV2 in 2007, she claimed she did not know him. In fact, she had done a prior reading for him in 2005 as reported in the News of the World. Regarding this she later said in a 2008 article for The Independent that “I did it because the director told me to”.

During a show in Dublin, Ireland in September 2011, Sally Morgan was accused of receiving information about her audience members from an offstage confederate, which she then repeated in her “psychic readings”. Following a show at the Grand Canal Theatre, several callers to radio network RTE reported that they had overheard a male voice relaying information to Sally from the control room at the rear of the theatre. A caller said, “The first half of the show went really well but when the second half started we could clearly hear a man’s voice coming from the window behind us. Everything he said, the psychic would say 10 seconds later. It was as if she was having the information relayed to her.” Sally Morgan responded to The Guardian report on her website denying the involvement of all Grand Canal Theatre employees and stating that her head microphone was a one-way device.

The Merseyside Skeptics Society and Simon Singh promoted a test of Sally’s psychic abilities, set for 31 October 2011. Morgan did not to attend.

Mentalist Derren Brown states that it is possible that Morgan is being honest and not receiving hot-readings from her staff. He believes that psychics, just like your plumber and doctor, should be checked to see if they have passed their exams and their credentials examined. He hopes that Morgan will agree to be tested, and that if she passes she will work with scientists to “advance our race, help us find peace among ourselves and understand the nature of eternity, and not merely pass on bland condolences or upsetting revelations from the Other Side.”

Magician Paul Zenon writing for the Mail Online states that stage psychics use cold reading and Internet tools like Google maps to fool audiences into parting with their money. He writes “if … performers like Sally Morgan aren’t actually talking to the dead, then I think the public has a right to know. Citing “substantial damage to her reputation, as well as hurt, distress and embarrassment” Morgan sued Associated Newspapers for £150,000 over Zenon’s September 22, 2011 article.  JREF President, D.J. Grothe, writing for The Huffington Post, states that he wonders why she would sue for £150,000 when she can prove her ability by winning JREF’s, ”Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge”? “It makes one wonder if even Sally Morgan believes that Sally Morgan’s powers are real.”

In a Guardian article Simon SIngh describes an incident in which Sally Morgan gave a reading to two members of the audience, Drew McAdam and his wife Elizabeth. The reading described a man called Toby who had died in an explosion. However, prior to the show, Drew and his wife say they fed Sally this information by emailing her website and leaving notes in a box provided in the foyer for so-called “love-letters”. Toby was also a fictional character who died in an explosion in the 1970s BBC drama, Doomwatch.

After Listening to this audio do you think Sally Morgan is:
